GI recommended citricul, pericolace and bentyl. Isn't pericolace a laxative and thus, not safe?

Peri-colace is the brand name for Docusate Sodium plus Casanthranol mixture.
Docusate Sodium which is a stool softener. Casanthranol is a laxative that stimulates the colon.
The later could be a problem. Unfortunately the only way to figure it out is to try it.

why would a doctor recommend a laxative? I don't want to take anything that is bad for me. He recommended stopping my mirilax and taking citricel and pericolace? Is that crazy? I am so sick of doctors. i don't know what to do.

Miralax is a osmotic laxative. Did you tell your doctor that miralax was not working for you so he recommended a change to soluble fiber supplement and a stimulant laxative?

no, I didn't. I don't know why he made this change. I have only seen him once and then saw him for a colonoscopy and this was his recommendation> I have no idea why he gave me this recommendation. It just doesn't seem safe. I don't know what to do. what do I do??

Give the Peri-colace a try and see how it goes. If it is a problem get hold of the doctor.
Take the SFS - the one he suggested does not ferment to produce gas.
The doctor did not prescribe Betaine HCL. It is not an IBS drug. I would not take it until the doctor advises you to take it.
