I had a chat with the Toronto-based developer/formulator of this product at GIC (Gut Instinct Concepts). You can have a look at the ingredients here. One thing to consider is that it contains Jerusalem Artichoke (Helianthus tuberosus) which means it contains FOS which is not particularly IBS friendly ("Symbiotic Blend™ Beneficial Bacteria with FOS"). It does not appear to contain anything particularly unique. It is a formulation of many things that are 'thought' to help IBS even though there is little or no clinical evidence to support the use of some of the ingredients. The developer told me he is in the process of reformulating the product so read the labels closely each time you buy if you decide to try it. The ingredients may change.

Thanks, Syl, I knew you'd be on top of this. Yes, I've taken all these ingredients at one point or another... and thanks for the heads up about jerusalem artichoke.
