Can you take too much of this at once. I ask because I increased the amount and it seems to be causing me to have pretty painful gas. Maybe I am doing something wrong? Any ideas?

Yes - you need to increase any fiber slowly and gradually. For acacia, most people start with 1/2 teaspoon twice daily, and increase by an extra 1/2 tsp to one dose every 4-5 days.

Fiber is indigestible, so if you increase too much too fast it can give you gas and bloating.

Best,
Heather
