dried vs fresh fruit

are dried apricots less problematic than normal ones?
there's all this dried fruit like prunes, figs and dates etc which are great for boosting energy (something I've always had real struggles with), I know they are still fruit and IF-heavy, but opinions?

There are numerous articles on the internet saying that dried fruit is much higher in fructose than fresh fruit if that is a problem for you. Just google:
"dried fruit" fructose.

so dried fruit is even worse than not dried fruit?
Flies in the face of my experience to be honest?!

I used to have a lot of dates and figs, dried apricots as well. Now, not sure if I have problems with fructose malabsorption and can't get a test done until I'm back in the UK. Putting all dried fruit on ice for the moment. For what it's worth I tolerate dried fruits a thousand times better than normal fresh fruit.

Wow. I remember, when I had real bad IBS-C. Eating dried fruits gave me horrible bloating and gas, especially dried apricots and prunes.
-------------------- IBS-C since 2006. No signs of IBS now, it's been 4 yrs. Only dairy allergy now.
