I don't remember seeing anything about salad. Where does lettuce fit into the diet if at all? If I want tomatoes is that after SF and peeling them? (so far no cramps today!)

Lettuce is listed under Greens (spinach, lettuce, kale, mesclun, collards, arugala, watercress, etc.) in the insoluble fiber list insoluble fiber. On the same web page Heather says "For raw fruit and green salads, eat them at the end of a soluble fiber meal instead of at the beginning. "

Tomatoes are on the insoluble fiber lists too - see Tomatoes (peeled and seeded, especially raw, they're much safer).

Thanks Syl, I am still trying to find my way around the website. I thought they were ISF, just wanted to double check.

I seem to remember reading in the book that iceberg lettuce is about the worst lettuce to eat, both in terms of IF and nutrition. I try to eat romaine or some other lettuce if I am in a situation where I must have lettuce, or if I just want a leaf on my sandwich.
