Is there anyone else out there with both? I've searched around on the boards and don't see a lot of discussion about anyone having both.
The list of insoluble fiber foods reads like a list of foods that will raise my blood sugar the most (potatoes, rice, etc). And some of the advice for each diet are directly contradictory. But I'm workin' it out. I'm just following this diet within the bounds of my diabetes and I feel eons better.
I just wondered if there was someone else out there that wanted to commiserate.
Having diabetes and IBS is just wildly annoying - oh and acid reflux. I take meds for that but I still can't have a lot of citrus or things with too much citric acid in them - among other things. (Gummy Bears give me the worst heart burn!!)
I control my blood sugar with glyburide and cinnergen. I have just resigned myself to the fact that I have to take slightly more glyburide then I use to. I'm on the lowest dose though so it's still not much.
Anyway! Anyone else?
Camille

Oh! And/or lives in the middle of NOWHEREVILLE.
Just an example - my dad just called me from over 200 miles away because he's passing a Whole Foods. He wanted to know what I needed. (heaven love him!) Soy cream cheese, Soy sour cream, etc. There is a lot I can't just run to the store and buy in this town.
