Can't have Soy Products of any kind

I can't have any soy products of any kind due to hypothyroidism. I am not crazy about rice milk or oat milk, I don't have a problem with the lactose-free milk (in small quantities). I am looking for something that can replace the soy products. I was diagnosed 4 1/2 years ago, and still figuring out what other triggers I have. Any advice, I have talked to my GI dr, only he really can't give me any suggestions.

Can you tolerate almond milk or almond cheese?

Don't care for the taste of the Almond Milk, never had almond cheese before. Would I buy that in a health food store?

Whole Foods has almond cheese. I've seen it in regular health food stores, too. I like Lisanatti brand. They also make rice cheese. The almond cheese doesn't melt as well as soy or rice cheese, but it tastes pretty good.

I hope you take this the right way- you are going to have to learn to like either rice, oat or almond milk. Try one in stuff at first, then venture out. Know that it doesn't taste like cow milk, expect that, and eventually you won't dislike it so much. Its not that you have to drink the milk alternatives, but in day to day cooking you need a milk sub.

I will try the almond milk again, but I know I will never get used to rice or oat milk, as I do not have a problem with the lactose-free milk. I do appreciate what you are telling me, and I do not take it the wrong way. Knowing what is good to eat and drink is very helpful, it is just hard when people tell me to drink soy and I explain why I can't.
