banana & strawberry smoothie - why does it cause gas?

i thought a smoothie with just fruit and ice would be something good but it causes gas and sometimes D. It is so frustrating to not be able to eat something so simple i thought these fruits were safe..

Smoothies bother me too. I wish I knew why.
My only thought is make sure you have the smoothie after a lot of soluble fiber. Maybe try mango instead of strawberries?

Try peaches to and it could aslo be the type of milk your having with it like soy or rice. CAn cause gas.hth emmasmom ibs-c gas

You may be experiencing problems with too much insoluble fiber from the fruit particularly the seeds in the strawberries. Try using a banana and other fruit that does not contain seeds and remove the skin.

i forgot to add the acacia fiber that might help..i didn't use any milk just water..i will try a different fruit and see how that goes..thanks everyone..
