I am dumbfounded. My GI doc said people can't get that built up crud, people think needs to be removed by cleanses, if they have D on a regular basis. As for some particular times I suppose it could do that once in a while but it is a myth that the C remains in there for ages.
-------------------- IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

Your symptoms sound exactly like mine. I never thought of myself as constipated....hum.....however, it makes sense. Don't go for a day or so, get the "pebbles" (and cramps, sweats, etc.) and the mucus followed minutes later by the horrible D that comes pouring out of me. Same cycle...same routine for years and years. Frustration.
