I have been suffering with gastro issues for many years and have been endlessly searching for relief. I was misdiagnosed with Celiac disease yet I did get temporary relief from going gluten free. After a few months gluten free, most of my symptoms came right back. I was afraid to eat anything. Just as I was about to give up on my research, I found the following article on the web:http://www.healthsystem.virginia.edu/internet/digestive-health/nutrition/BarrettArticle.pdf
This article is fabulous and shed a ton of light on other factors related to IBS. If you are at your wits end, please read the above article thoroughly, it may be the answer to your gastro problems.

Welcome to the board and thank you for your posting. I am a fructose malabsorber too. You may find the articles in this posting of interest. Heather has also indicated in this newsletter that fructose can be an IBS trigger too.

Good Luck
