I looked at all brands of the bread slice loaves because I want to find a safe bread to make shrim toast sometime. Well every brad had HFCS. I have to be really careful what I am eating, plus get my gerd under control. Also what the heck is barley and all those other things in bread? I can't remember the names..but are those IF? As of right now I only want a SF safe bread! I wish there was a very convenient website that would deliver it in the mail at a decent price..or does anyone know a health food store brand? I could call a health food store up and ask to have it shipped to me..

I read in another thread that you were complaining of acid reflux the other day. Do you know for a fact that it is GERD or is it possible that you just had an isolated bad case of heartburn?

Barley is SF and Oats are 50% each IF/SF. Don't know about the hfs breads. I would just eat white bread if you can't find any other that you can eat. I hate white bread, but I can tolerate it when necessary. I actually find that wheat bread doesn't do any harm to me, but that's me, you could be totally different.

Barley tears up my tummy - as does whole wheat and corn. I buy the Wal-mart brand deli-made sourdough boule. It's really good - but too much will plug me, so I don't pig out on it.
