hi, recently i have had to restrict my diet due to a very bad spell i had eating mainly soluble fibre for 5 days.i'm slowly adding in fresh fruit and veg but i have started to get really stiff joints in my fingers and knees especially.the phsyio said my joints are good and it could be because of the lack of oil in my diet.she reccommended a visit to doc to make sure.before i do this i was wondering do any of ye guys have similar problems?i hope it's the diet i just bought avacado and nuts to try incorporate into my meals

such as fibromyalgia, celiac, and even Crohn's. Please make sure you've been tested for all those things.
You can definitely have a low fat diet with IBS (and you need this) but don't go fat free. The breaking the cycle diet is just for a few days, and shouldn't cause any joint problems at all.
If it is IBS, make sure your fats are heart-healthy like flax, olive oil, fish oils, canola oil, etc. That will get you the health benefits of good fats, but eat them in small quantities with a soluble fiber foundation so you don't trigger IBS symptoms.
Best, H
