I was diagnosed with IBS just this past Wed. after a colonoscopy. She didn't find anything and thus IBS. I was told that I had an "unusually" long colon. Maybe that contributed to the constipation. Who knows. Anyway, I just need varifying that this is IBS with actual sufferers of IBS-C. I saw the Nurse Practicioner who recommended the colonoscopy. THen I was so knocked out after the procedure, I didn't get to talk to the doc myself. So I have never had a talk with the actual doctor. Can someone here just identify with me or tell me to go somewhere else. I have had 2 ultrasounds and it is not Gyno related. I have pain in my left side. But my whole belly is tender if pushed. I go to the bathroom about once every 3-4 days and always have except the pain has just started in the past 6 months. I hurt in my lower back, too. When I walk, it jars my insides and is very uncomfortable. I was totally relieved when my colon was clean but the very first meal I ate afterwards, it started again! If anything at all is in the pipeline, I hurt. Is tenderness to push a symtom? I am driving my poor husband crazy researching on the internet trying to find out what is wrong with me. So far nothing can be found and that just blows my mind that I can hurt every single minute of the day and nothing be found. It is a minimum hurt 3 on a level of 1-10 but very distracting. Thanks
