Hello! I haven't been on here in a while because I'm doing really well. *knock on wood* I do have a problem though...well, more like an enigma. I think I had mentioned it before a LONG time ago, but to the left of my belly button I get a gas bubble. If I lay flat on my stomach, I can feel it, but if I burp or break wind it goes away. Sometimes I'll struggle with it for a week. It comes and goes and my gyno/gastro doesn't seem worried about it. However, I would like to know if there is a way to prevent or treat it. I am beginning to suspect it has something to do with caffeine. (I like Starbucks...and...ahem...Coke. I probably just set off an IBS alarm by saying that.) Can any relate to this or give me some advice? PLEASE.

I'm with Dragonfly! The coffee gets me everytime - i even tried FRS healthy energy drink, and the next day, I was so bloated I looked nine months pregnant! And this just doesn't go away with a poot. I basically have to wait until the next day when I have slept 8 hours. Yoga does help some for a little while, and if it's only for a little while it's ok with me. I like fish pose, shoulder stand, bridge, backbends, down-ward facing dog (really helps me to pass gas). I do, however, do a whole 45 minute sequence of yoga 1-2 times a day, and staying active also helps with the bloating and gas. I have a desk job, so I usually get attacks when I've been working for long periods of time. I hope this helps! - IBS-C with Bloating and severe pain!
