I live in UK does anyone no the above soluble fibre supplement equivilents in the UK. Brand name must be different to US as my Doctor has not heard of them. As heather said fybogel can cause bloating hence question on the above. Cannot find info in any of posts or supplement info for this. Many Thanks

Benefiber should be available in the UK - http://www.benefiber.co.uk/.

I think Citrucel is Novacol but I'm not sure. Perhaps instead telling your doc the US brand name tell him what it is, and he should be able to recommend something (e.g., tell him you want methylcellulose instead of Citrucel).

In my experience medical doctors aren't always familiar with supplements, only chemical drugs. I usually find the most info by just searching the internet myself, plus asking at the pharmacy.

Thanks i did use search engine in the end. It was Normacol and celevac that came up for Uk. benefiber is probably a seperate one again. My doctor must have missed that one on looking in her book.I have enough info with this and your reminder of methylcellulose really helped. Many thanks
