Food types-can u help me out? new to IBS!- LIVE IN UK

Is Rye bread and yeast okay? Which Crisps or snacks are alright for sure? I thought pasta was wheat ,and deadly, how is this soluble? Are the currants white and red okay-Insolubles. As kiwi fruit is alkaline and good for acid reflux is is okay for IBS??. Also opnions on OATS good or bad?-leave it at that for mo,many thanks all.

Unless you are fructose & fructan sensitive wheat is safe. Pasta, rice and potatoes contain resistant starch which acts like SF. As a result these foods have a high amount of SF especially when it eaten cool. Here is a link to short article on resistant starch. Dried currents are high in IF. Kiwi is safe. Oatmeal is about 50% IF and 50% SF. Some people find it safe others don't. I eat it every morning for breakfast.
