I'm new and I recently posted that I drink diet soda, 1 or 2 during the day. This is my "unhealthy" habit. Otherwise I don't eat any flour products, no sugar, no alcohol or caffeine. I've noticed I do get gasy and bloated after drinking carbonation or diet sodas. The last few days I've noticed it makes me alittle nauseous. Is this normal with IBS? I'm going to stop or taper off the soda and carbonation and I'm sure that will help. I actually thought it was brown rice because I sometimes have it with lunch when I have a diet soda. I'd rather give up soda than brown rice. As a sweetner I use Stevia, does anyone else use this? Another question, I just ordered Acacia Powder, I have problems with diahrrea and the feeling of having to have a bowel movement frequently but turns out only to be gas... I hate this and sometimes it last all day and will cause hemrroids, will acacia powder help?
Thanks for any input.

Yikes! Diet anything can be a really horrible trigger for ibs, and soda is as well due to the carbonation. Artificial sweeteners are one of the food item Heather warns about here:

As for the acacia, I'm not able to help you. But good luck!!
