In the EFI book there is a recipe for edamane, and I am wondering....are they safe to eat by themselves (are they SF?) or should I always pair w/ a SF? I eat them alot w/ my lunch (mixed w/ rice or potato) and I am wondering if I can eat them alone as a snack (looking for healthy portable snacks for a trip this week). Soy doesn't bother me on an empty stomach but the soy milk is fairly processed so I don't know if that has something to do with it.

TIA

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
