I have had acid reflux almost every day for over a month. It is not heartburn but a constant feeling of having a bubble in my throat, smiliar to having a burp not come out. I've been on Nexium for about 3wks and being very careful about what I eat but its now officially driven me crazy. If anyone can share their "therapies" wether its OTC meds, herbal teas, yoga poses, whatever, I am ready to try it all!!!

I find that a herbal tea with fennel in has helped me, as my reflux is linked to burping!
Also, you don't eat salad do you?

Try chamomile tea! Also, try yoga. I wish I had more suggestions for you...let us know how you're feeling!

tried yoga last night, wasn't so bad until I tried downward dog... almost had an accident on my light colored carpet! So I stuck to some simple breathing exercises after that, LOL! Ok, chamomille is now on my list of herbal teas to buy too, as well as some good ideas from a post in the Living Room! Thanks!

Hi there- I have also had to deal with reflux. I have found some relief from an over the counter medication. I see you are in Canada - I use Life brand's "Acid Control" found at shoppers drug mart. This is a generic form of Pepcid. There is also Zantac (life brand is called "acid reducer")which the pharmacist said is a very similar drug. The spoke to the pharmacist about these drugs and he said they were very safe and I have found them effective. Good luck, Ken

I've been drinking tea with peppermint, fennel, and ginger for my IBS. It's great for the IBS but the peppermint really bother's my reflux. I need to find a tea with just the fennel and ginger or just fennel. Any ideas?

Sugar, you might find that ginger is aggravating your reflux as well. I can't take it, cos it just brings bile up my throat!

Luckily I have no problem with Ginger. It does wonders for me. It makes me burp. Pepperment though comes right up and over flows.

Hi Sugar - I have just plain whole seed organic fennel tea here Fennel Tea but I don't have ginger yet - working on it though. You can get a great tea called Ginger Aid at health food stores - there's no mint in it. Mix that with the fennel and you should have a very helpful brew.

nope, I stay away from sald or raw veggies unless I wish to spend some quality time by myself in the bathroom...
To everyone else, thanks for the replies! I am just back to my computer after a quick stay with family. I am planning a trip to load up on some teas and the meds kenneth suggested.
Thanks again!
