Just wondering if anyone knows, is whole grain wheat the same as whole wheat? All the dry cereals seem to be made from this. Is it IBS safe?
I've been munching on cinnimon Toast Crunch and so far so gooooooood!
Anyone?

It sounds to me like another way to label something to make it sound healthier. Whole wheat is whole wheat no matter how they want to phrase it and it is definitly not an IBS safe food. You may want to check out Heather's list of safe foods again. It may not be the "healthy" way to eat these days but good bakery white breads, white rice, white pastas are the way to go for IBS.

I never look at those cereals anymore so I haven't seen the ingredient list but I can't imagine that the amount of whole wheat is really that high. If it is the main ingredient it will be listed first. Otherwise it's only got some whole wheat and that may be why you can eat it and it's been ok. There's not enough to cause you an issue.
