Hi!
I'm new to this message board but not new to IBS. I am just coming off a really bad flair-up and I am simply questioning whether asparagus is an okay food or not. I LOVE asparagus and have been eating it raw, semi-raw and cooked and cannot link it specifically with my flair-up. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had trouble with it. I've got a freezer full of the stuff; maybe making cream of asparagus soup is the way to eat it!

Any advice??

Personally, I've never had any trouble with asparagus. And I too make cream of asparagus soup, substituted with soy milk of course. It is high in soluable and insoluable fibre.
Maybe something else you are eating is causing you the trouble?

Wishing you luck!

Asparagus is one of my best vegetables--after carrots and green beans. I love the stuff too. Don't like cream soup made with asparagus but if you don't use dairy that should be fine. However, I have steamed mine a little more since starting EFI diet. Remember if you csn mash it with a fork it is safer!!
