Question about peppermint....kind of strange

Okay, strange question about peppermint...this happened twice...when I had a BM a got a very cold tingling sensation after...is it possible that it was from too much peppermint? When it happened I probably had about 3 peppermint capsules plus peppermint tea during that day. This ever happen to anyone?

Three peppermint caps in one day is a lot, I think. Heather says that they are strong, so start off with one and see how that goes, and if you need another later in the day, then do that. But 3, plus tea is probably overkill, which puts a lot of peppermint oil in your intestines!

I had the same effect when I started taking the peppermint caps too, but it subsided after a few weeks. I take up to 3 peppermint pills a day now, with at least one to two cups of peppermint tea a day, sometimes ginger tea too and I don't feel like it's too much. I've started the diet and peppermint caps about 4 months ago. Everyone is different, but I think it's always best to gradually increase supplements and find what your body responds to.
