Stress as a trigger question

I had a very stressful/emotional day yesterday and thought my stomach made it through the day ok. But this evening I suffered a terrible bout of D. Can stress like trigger foods "sneak" up on you a day or so later??? I'm so bummed

I ate a trigger food a week ago and tried to get stable ever since then. My D attacks were getting better but I had one day where I had alot of stress at home. The next day I woke up and got serious cramps and almost a D attack. So yea, my opinion is, stress could trigger symptoms the next day.

Yes, I think it can. My tummy has reacted to stress even when I haven't really felt stressed on the outside!
