My poor cat is 15 years old and she's been so sick with vomiting/diarreah. After many tests today it was found out she has IBS. We will change her diet to some special food to see if that helps. Now we can be sick together.

Awww poor kitty! I hope the food helps her!
-------------------- IBS-A since age 12, and fructose sensitive; with the exception of my pregnancy, have been following Heather's diet since Nov. 19, 2007.
Taking 12g of Acacia per day. Relatively stable since March 2008!

Poor cat! Did the vet give you any tips on managing her diet? Would any of the tips from here be applicable to an animal? For example, would she benefit from some acacia mixed into her food? I hope she feel better!

Did you know that our pets are the only animals that die from the same deseases as humans? That's because they eat what we eat... At least in Europe we feed our cats/dogs with what we eat...
-------------------- IBS-C since 2006. No signs of IBS now, it's been 4 yrs. Only dairy allergy now.
