Splenda is the trade name for sucralose. I.e., sucralose and Splenda are the same thing.

I avoid splenda as well as other artificial sweeteners that are not supposed to be absorbed by our bodies. That's why they have no calories - they don't get absorbed. Now think about psyllim husk which also doesn't get absorbed - anyone noticed more bloating after trying Metamucil? I sure did. Sometimes I use aspartame and seem to be doing OK with that.

I haven't noticed any ill effects from saccharine or aspartame---only with Splenda. Of course, that doesn't Splenda is necessarily worse than the other sweeteners; itjust means my body is sensitive to it & not the others.

I'm 99% sure I'm fine with aspartame too. Splenda, I'm not so sure...
