Can you develop D from taking too much acacia? I don't think so, but I'm trying to rule out the cause of my recent D bout and had recently upped my dose from 1 1/2 tbsp to 2 tbsp a day.

I don't take acacia myself but I think you can get bowel problems even from acacia if you increase the dose too much or too quickly.

The FIRST time I increased Acacia I got D – but it went away. I have since upped my dose 3-4 times again and it didn't give me D. I think that first time might have been a coincidence.

I am up to one full tablespoon of Acacia per day now (1 1/2 tsp twice a day). So far, so good.

The Acacia is supposed to regulate everything, both C and D. But yeah, I was nervous at first when increasing my dose because I am more prone to D than C.

Taking 12g of Acacia per day. Relatively stable since March 2008!
