SIBO/Fructose Malabsorbtion questions

so.. after a couple of weeks of following the fructose malab diet i fell off the wagon for thanksgiving... i really went to hell with myself and the result was a bit of D and gas.. i had pancakes and coffee for breakfast.. had a non-fat peppermint mocha and then all the usual thanksgiving foods... yum..
today i am back on the wagon! breakfast was oatmeal with a bit of brown sugar and cin snack was some graham bumpers cereal not quite hungry for lunch but i ate a banana..
i am happy with the diet because gas and bloating which are my main problems are no longer an issue.. AND i am losing weight which is great.. however i am sick of rice, chicken and oatmeal..
what "bread" can i eat? i found a strawberry jelly that does not have hfcs and is not sweetened with fruitjuice so i'd like to make a pbj however i have no bread to make it on..
what about a wheatfree or gluten free pancake mix that is ok?
are there any "butter" spreads that are ok?
i haven't tried to mix soy back in yet so i do not know if it is safe or not..
the foods that seem to be ok for me are: oatmeal brownsugar banana kiwi chicken turkey rice sweetpotato potato eggwhite ricemilk also i know they are high in fat however i tried them a few times when i am hungry and desperate for something other than chicken and rice and ruffles potato chips

Do you know if you have a gluten/wheat allergy? I find that if you can find a fresh bakery that makes their own bread, homemade, not a frozen glob of dough and ask for the ingredients, that has been the safest for me. I found a place that makes the best French Country, Sourdough and French Boulle bread, all the ingredients are safe for me, no HFCS, no dairy, eggs, oils, etc. And it is so yummy, I love to go there when they first open and get a warm loaf and eat a piece on the way home, just like that, not toasted, nothing on it, just warm. I found the I believe it's Smuckers simply fruit that I use as jelly, I don't have any problems with that, but you can also use fruit baby food as jelly, blueberry, apple, etc. Hope this helps I had a zillion tests done a month ago checking for a malasorption problem and of course they found nothing, but I look like a friggin skeleton,,,,,I had a hysterectomy and my IBS and weight change has gotten to bad. I heard the IBS gets better and I would gain weight.......NOT

i have not tested positive for wheat or gluten allergies... i'll check local bakeries.. thanks!!

Give yourself a couple of days to get back into the diet after Thanksgiving. Then try having a slice of white bread toast with strawberry jam once a day. If the only change you make is the addition of tost and jam you should know within a week if one slice of bread a day is okay. I keep my wheat intake to less than the equivalent of 2 slices of bread per day.

Brand of what? If it's bread, I would go to a grocery, if you do not have a Panera or a fresh bakery bakehouse that makes their own bread and go with the "store" brand homemade french, italian, sour dough bread. Read the ingredients for HFCS, and dairy. I do know Kroger has a brand that is not theirs but has safe ingredients and comes in a variety of flavors and sizes. If bread is what you are talking about. Hope this helps

Panera's website has all the ingredients to all the bread and bagels they make, and yes, a large majority of them are safe!! They are building one 10 minutes from where I live, I'm very excited......... I also forgot, that if you get their soups, they have a book behind the counter you can ask for that has all the ingredients of what is in the soups, that is really nice, for hidden egg,diary, etc.
