I am over sensitive to all meds that help IBS. I am worried that the peppermint will do the same thing. should I be?

Peppermint oil is not a medicine it is a supplement. When you say you are sensitive to meds do you mean prescription drugs or do you mean supplements?

I am over sensitive to prescriptions. I have been worried about taking any thing else that has a muscle relaxer in them.

peppermint is natural, it does not have a muscle relaxer in it, it. it IS relaxing to the tummy muscles. meds make me totally sick too. so I rely on cups of peppermint tea to keep my tummy happy, I drink it with meals, before meals after meals, I just love it, it is warm, soothing and really helps me. try it, it can't hurt you.

Peppermint tea is fine for everyone, but peppermint oil caps give me breakouts.
