Yes, celiacs disease and gluten sensitivity can most indefinitley mimic the symptoms of IBS. In fact, my celiacs was misdiagnosed as celiacs for 9 years.

My symptoms included diarrhea, constipation, painful menstrual cycles, abdominal pain, gas, bloating, fatigue and rashes. I have had kidney troubles in the past, including a kidney infection and kidney stones but these conditions were not related to the celiacs. I got the kidney infection as a result of a urinary tract infection which never completely went away despite antibiotic treatments and I got kidney stones as a result from intaking WAY too much calcium carbonate.

i've had chronic constipation and tried a wheat free diet in the past and i found that it made my constipation worse...cause i was eating a lot of rice and corn instead. i find that having bread helps with my C - so could i still have celiacs?

The symptoms of celiac disease may vary widely from individual to individual. The only way to know if you have celiacs disease is to have blood test and/or a endoscopy. Ask you doctor for a test if you are concerned.
