They recently opened a Trader Joe's near me! YAY! I can't wait to go exploring the aisles! What's good there? What do you guys buy? I saw the post earlier about the chocolate, so I might try that. I'm so happy this place is finally available!

I love their Baked Blue Corn Tortilla Chips (Salted). The ingredients are safe and they get about 14% of calories from fat.

I've also had their artichoke tortellini. These are made with whole eggs so they do contain some egg yolk but I was able to tolerate them with no problem - and they're yummy.

Trader Joe's is also the only place around here I've found any Lisanatti cheese. The one around here didn't have a wide variety but they did have a shredded cheese mix that I tried on pizza and it was wonderful.

You can also do a Search across all Boards with no time limit for:

Trader Joes

and you'll get lots of hits on what other people have said about it.

HTH. Enjoy your shopping expedition.

Hi. I see you read my Trader Joes post. Thanks!
Things that I usually buy there:
* peppermint tea-2 bucks (that's the only tea I drink now and it makes me feel so much better!)
*organic fruit bars
*california rolls-dairy free
*raspberry sorbet-dairy free, tastes like fresh raspberry
*frozen wild alaskan salmon
*70% cocoa chocolate, dairy free
*(tried peppermint drop chocolates, dairy free, but they made me sick anyway. don't recommend)
*multi grain crackers, dairy free
*fruits and veggies-always fresh
*almond milk
*great selection of nuts (don't eat too much at a time)
*canned tuna in water
*frozen mango, strawberries

These selections are always very safe, for me. Good luck and remember to always read the labels. Thanks.

I just went this weekend and went early enough that I actually had a chance to SEE things instead of jostling with other people and whizzing by the shelves.

In the bakery section, I found these protein banana muffins.. they are made with applesauce, soy milk and egg whites and no other triggers.

They are made with whole wheat and have chocolate chips in them, but after a decent meal, they have treated me well and are delicious!

I'm going to be vacationing in Southern CA in a week and a half. I discovered there's a Trader Joe's about two miles from our resort! Yay! Do they sell things like Tofurky and soy cheese? Do they carry Pacific brand rice milk by any chance? I'll be hoping to load up on breakfast and snack foods, and maybe a few lunch things. I'm not about to assume there will be stuff I can eat wherever we go! What do you guys think?

I went today! I wanted to go up & down every aisle but I didn't have time. They're prices are SOOO much better than the other local HFS! I bought a bag of ginger chews for $2, much cheaper than the $8 I've been paying! I didn't see any stevia but I didn't get to look at everything. I was going to go back tomorrow but my BF was in a car accident today so I won't be able to (he wasn't hurt but the car was messed up pretty bad). I'm going back next week when I have more time. Thanks for all the suggestions!
