I'm not sure, but I know if you're on a low glycemic diet, mangos are a fruit you really shouldn't eat.

Mango is considered a high fructose fruit along with apple, pear, guava, honeydew melon, mango, nashi fruit, pawpaw/papaya, quince, star fruit (carambola) and watermelon.
Fruits that are considered okay are
Stone fruit: apricot, nectarine, peach, plum (note these contain sorbitol)
Berry fruit: blueberry, blackberry, boysenberry, cranberry, raspberry, strawberry
Citrus fruit: kumquat, grapefruit, lemon, lime, mandarin, orange, tangelo
Other fruits: ripe banana, jackfruit, kiwi fruit, passion fruit, pineapple, rhubarb, tamarillo

Thank you so much for all this information. I know that is one thing my gastro. never suggested or tested for was the fructose issue. It would make alot of sense with some of the things that I eat and then the "end" results of it ... do you know of any sites with really good lists of do's and dont's?

There is a clinical review of fructose malabsorption here . It explains what causes the problem and provides some dietary guidelines.
The best source of information is the reference given below. It gives a detailed diet for managing IBS for those suffers with fructose problems. If you live near a university you should be able to get a copy from their library.

If she has a low tolerance to fructose it could. I know I cannot eat dried mango.
