I am new to all this. I'm a little confused as to whether or not I can eat Cream of Wheat cereal. I know it does have teeny tiny brown specks in it...does that mean it's okay to eat, but only after eating soluble fiber, and only to eat just a little bit? Or, can I eat a normal sized portion?

It is safe. Do a board search for a lot of posts about cream of wheat and malt o meal.

"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
