I have noticed on this site that Fennel tea is recommended for IBS-C, not IBS-D like I have. Does this mean it will give D?

Maybe I am mistaken but I thought the fennel tea helped with gas, bloating and pain. I do not drink it since I really hate licorice.

Fennel is a carminative herb that prevents gas from forming in the intestines and also assist in expulsion of gas. It works for all types of IBS. I am IBS-D and I drink fennel tea regularly.

I've never heard of fennel tea being recommended for only IBS-C. It helps to get rid of gas and bloating. It has no effect on C or D.
