sooo.. i usually run out of my house in the morning without much in my hands to get to work on time... on my lunch break i usually go to the deli or subway or even the local japanese restaurant.. when in the deli.. i am always looking through the different snacks and i was wondering.. what are some good safe snacks for IBSers? everything seems to have milk, hfcs, or is multigrain!! what's a mainstream snack that is ok?
i really want a freakin cookie!

You can probably find a bag of pretzels anywhere you go and they are not usually made with milk

Do a search on the site here. There have been lots of posts on snack foods. You should find a lot of good suggestions.

Snack Foods , but it hasn't been updated in a while. I would add Luna Bars to the list (although not everyone can tolerate some of the ingredients -- such as inulin), applesauce cups, soy yogurt, any combination of dry cereal and pretzels, hummus and pita bread, babyfood fruit (Yes, babyfood! It's pureed fruit, easy to take with you, as long as you're not embarrassed about it. I have to admit that sometimes I am...), sliced banana mixed with canned pineapple chunks, fat free tortilla chips w/ black bean dip (there's a recipe in Heather's book that's really good). HTH!
