I have tried, with great success Bentylol and Buscopan. I started to become resistant to the Buscopan after 5 or 6 years on it and switched to Bentylol 10mg up to 3 times a day. I find a huge improvement with the spasms. Without it my tum is fluttery and full of visible ripples.
Talk to your GI or even GP for the best option for you.

I was taking Levsbid extend caplets with Levsbid sublingual tabs. The dry mouth side effect was terrible so my GI switched me to Donnatal extend tabs. It doesn't get rid of the pain, but it does mellow me out so I can get through the episode.

Levsin worked for me for the spasms and pain, but it also made me way too tired & relaxed, so I gradually stopped taking it. When I took it daily, I was in bed by 9:00 PM at the latest every night.

I took bentyl for years, but I think I finally started becoming immune to it. I needed more pills at one time to treat my symptoms. Now I take Librax, but only when I'm having an attack or pain. It works really well, and I only need to take one rather than two or three. Not sure if you're C or D, but it doesn't bother my C at all, which is a bonus. The Bentyl tended to make me more C.
