I'm hunting for IBS-C relief and I stumbled across info here about Natural Calm. Although I am typically IBS-D, I am having raging IBS-C due to pregnancy. I want to alleviate it & wondered if the Natural Calm would set off my IBS-D. Once, my doctor prescribed Zelnorm (EVEN THOUGH I have IBS-D; he was clueless) and one dose made me so sick for days. I am afraid to take SF supplements as a result. How is Natural Calm?

Just a quick thought -- prenatal vitamins contain iron which you need, but can be constipating. Perhaps you could check your vitamins to see if they could be contributing to your IBS-C? If so, you could have your doc prescribe prenatals vits with colace (a gentle stool softener).

Thanks for the tip-I couldn't digest the mammoth prenatal vitamins so the doc told me to keep taking my trusty Flintstones chewables with Folic Acid and Vitamin B supplements. But I can ask her about the colace if this keeps acting up. Thank you for the help!

Natural Calm is great, and you can adjust your dosage depending on what it does to your BMs. There is even a specific formulation for mamas-to-be: "Mama Calm"!
