Often when I eat (anything) I feel like some of the food is trapped in my chest (esophagus?) and I'll burp up actual food and bile which I have to spit out (SO SORRY - SO GROSS). I take Nexioum for the acid reflux - is this "trapped" food sensation part of acid reflux or do I need to get checked for something else? -------------------- IBS-D, Acid Reflux, ??? Your best bet is to talk to your doctor about it. I was sure I had a hiatal hernia from what I'd read online. I couldn't believe that it could "only" be reflux. But my shortness of breath, tightness in my chest, my chest spasms, along with the acid and the burping were all due to the reflux.
