I really feel like I am stabilizing but about once a day I get really bad gas. It's not painful but it is non-stop at times (my poor wife). Is it something I should worry about or should I just forget about it? Also will it go away as I stabilize? Thanks and ECM, Atomic Rose you two have really been helping me!

Good Morning Andrew, I too have not conquered gas & bloating. I've tried every suggestion that has come up on the boards to no avail. My biggest problem is when it just sits there & doesn't come out. That is when I get the pain. Suggestions have been fennel tea, fennel capsules, peppermint tea, peppermint capsules, beano, gas-X, hot water bottle. What works for one person may not work for another, try them though. If you find something that works, please let us know. Alot of IBS-Cer's are bothered by gas.

You could try Heather's fennel tea. It has a high volitile oil content so it is better than regular store bought teas which are usually older.

Gas was the most difficult symptom for me to get under control. What finally did it for me was BC, probably not what you want. LOL.
If the gas isn't painful and you don't mind it, then don't worry about it. If it does bother you (and your wife), there are lots of things to try (BeanO, GasX, fennel, simethicone drops, etc.)

fennel seed capsules at the health food store help me alot. sometimes it is the only thing that does help. I don't like the taste of fennel tea and the peppermint capsules dissolve in my stomach sometimes and my stomach feels like it is on fire. The brand I use is Soloray. HTH
