Granola is rolled oats. If it is low fat and dairy free is it IBS safe?

The granola I've seen usually has other stuff in it that's IF - nuts, dried fruits, maybe some wheat germ or wheat bran. The oats will act as SF to some extent so the IF will be cushioned but I think in order to know if you can handle it you'll have to try it. For me (I'm IBS-D) that would almost certainly be too IF-y first thing in the morning but for a C it might be great.

One thing you could try is making oatmeal and stirring a little low fat, dairy free granola into it. (This assumes oatmeal is safe for you.) If that works you can keep upping the amount of granola as compared to the amount of oatmeal and eventually get to just plain granola. You can also try just a little granola paired with a banana for more SF cushion.
