Would 1 -1/2 to 2 TBSP Acacia powder in the AM and PM be to much?

It is too hard to try and spread it out during the day and I remember to take it if it is only 2x a day. Right now I am at 1 TBSP am and pm and need to increase to 1-1/2 TBSP 2x day for now, then depending maybe up to 2 TBSP 2x day.

If you've never used acacia before, start with just 1/2 teaspoon twice daily. That was even too much for me; I had to start with just 1/4 teaspoon twice daily. I've been using it for 6 or 7 months now, and I'm finally up to 2 tablespoons per day!
If, after you take it, you notice a lot of rumbling in your abdomen and/or gas, and it persists for several days, that means you need to decrease your dose.

Maybe I should reduce it then, because that is what is happening to me and I feel like the verge of diarrhea all the time (which I was normally very constipated). Maybe I'll go back to 1-1/2 tsp 2x a day instead of the 1 TBSP 2x a day.

How long have you been taking the acacia? You need to go back to the smallest dose that does NOT give you any of those symptoms. Start small and increase SLOWLY!!

that would have been the 1 tsp 2x day then. i also eat a bag a day of the All-Bran snack bites that are 5g fiber.

That would probably be a problem. Wheat bran fiber is *very* harsh! Try having some fruits and/or vegetables with every meal. Start out by having them cooked or pureed, but if you're C you can probably progress to raw fruits eventually (when you're not having attacks!).
Remember to have some soluble fiber (rice, white bread, SF fruits and vegetables) every time you have insoluble fiber, and you should start feeling better.
