Acacia and probiotics????

New to the boards, site, etc... this week started the acacia in the am and pm 1/2 tsp. I am confused after reading through the boards. It seems that you guys take the sf and a probiotic also??? Is this correct and if so what kind of doses? I am IBSd and I am settling down some already. Also using the teas this week and some of the diet. It is a lot of changes in short time. Thanks for sharing.

Hi, and welcome to the boards.
Acacia is a PREbiotic and it feeds the PRObiotics. You need to work up to the acacia dose that is right for you. Everyone is different so we can't tell you what the right dose would be. For the probiotics, you need to find a good one and take it as directed. You usually start with a small dose, then increase it slowly. If you increase it too fast it will cause gas and bloating. You should start to see a difference with your ibs in about 2-3 months of taking the probiotics continuously.
