Take bananas for instance. If you eat them every day and your bowels are fine. You happen to skip 2 days, and you get "D" and cramps after eating dinner. Do you think its because the bananas are missing? Well, after a month of being stable, tonite it got me. I just ate bread, cooked steamed green beans, sauteed chicken breast and a little salad and cooked carrots. I have eaten worse before with no reaction. What do you think? Thanks Guys.

Anything is possible. It seems to be easier to stay stable when I eat the same things from day to day. Bananas can be constipating for some people. Maybe that has something to do with getting D if you don't eat them for a while. I don't know what exactly is in them that has that effect. On the other hand, I think they can give other people D. I'm a D and I eat a banana every morning and my body doesn't quite feel right if I miss my daily banana fix.

Apples (with peel) seem to be my "certain food." I tend to get C if I don't eat a large apple (or 2 small ones) every day. Which is funny, because I'm technically IBS-D.

I don't have trouble from eliminating a particular food. My trouble comes more from eating too much of a not-so-safe food. From what you listed, the salad jumps out at me. I have been stable for several months, but I still don't eat salad at all.
