Hello,
I am searching out a list of high fructose fruits - from what I see pears, peaches, plums, apples are high fructose while banana, avacado, berries, pineapple, oranges are not. I was looking to see where kiwi fell in there. BAsically pineapple,(irritate mouth) oranges (irritate mouth) and banana (gas) bother me so I am not left with much. Thanks, Debbie IBS-C

There is a resonable overview of fructose malabsorption on this web page and here is a link to the reference article give below.
The symptoms are bloating, gas and D or C. It is estimated a significant percentage of IBS suffers also suffer from fructose malasborption.

White and brown sugars (sucrose) and glucose are not a problem. In fact generally speaking foods that have equal amounts of fructose and glucose such as white sugar (sucrose) are not a problem either. The problem occurs with foods in which there is more fructose than glucose.

Sly, Does fructose intolerance require the avoidance of wheat? If so, What flour do you use to bake with? Thanks.
