Thank you for your reply Heather When I drink ginger tea it helps get rid of my bloating almost immediately, although sometimes my stomach & throat feels a little irritated afterwards and sometimes get a bit of reflux but I do not know if that is from the bloating itself or the tea. The tea I am drinking is Organic Ginger Aid by Traditional Medicinals and it also has Blackberry leaf, Stevia leaf and Lemon Myrtle leaf in it. Are those o.k. or could they be triggers? Is it normal to have a little irritation in the throat after drinking it? Would the ginger capsules do the same thing? Please let me know and thanks again for giving us hope and support. -Mara

I always have a bit of mouth/throat iritation from drinking ginger tea. Ginger is quite spicy so that is what I think causes that feeling. It's not harmful though, and I also find ginger tea to be very soothing on the tummy. Try rinsing your mouth after drinking the tea to get rid of the feeling.
Ginger caps haven't caused any mouth/throat problems for me, so they're worth trying. However I find the tea better still, it acts faster and the heat and liquid help a lot too.

Thanks for the tip Kat I will try rinsing my mouth afterwards as the ginger tea seems to help immediately when I feel bloated. -Mara
