Such posts are typically reported to Heather by one of the moderators (or someone else!) as soon as we spot them. She then cleans up the "litter" as she has an opportunity to do so.
If you want to report spam posts to Heather, look for these icons below the signature line portion (or right after the text) of any post:
The icon marked with a red arrow is the one to click - Heather is immediately notified of the inappropriate post.

I just tried this with a bad post and the system new the moderator had already been notified. That is so cool - Heather doesn't get hit with a zillion notifications for the same post.
