Every now and again, I get this urge to go the health food store in search of the 'magic pill' for IBS. It does not exist and this Web site helps remind me of that.

Thank you for posting this. I, too, fall into the "finding the magic supplement" phases. (Quite often)
Is there a way to search the site for spefic treatments/supplements, etc for IBS? Or for specific products/herbs?

I haven't gotten that far yet. I don't think you can do a search, but I could be wrong.

I've also used the QuackWatch site to check on things that sounded too good to be true. There's a search box in the top right-hand corner of Quackwatch.Org. I'm not sure how well it works - the results look a little odd to me.
On the other hand, you can use Google to search any Website:
Go to www.google.com.
Click on "Advanced Search" in itty-bitty print to the right of the search box. Be careful - it's easy to hit "Preferences" by mistake.
Fill in your search criteria at the top of the screen just like you usually do.
Go down to where it says "Domain - Only return results from the site or domain". In the box to the right of that, put in the Website you want to search. In this case, www.quackwatch.org.
When you do your search, Google only looks in that Website for whatever you want to find.
Pretty cool.
