Kree, have you considered Depo-Provera? I know some people have bad results with this, but I love it and it's got rid of my periods altogether now which is great. Life is o much easier.

Man, I don't know how you guys cope with your relatives. I'm so lucky - my boyfriend's mum always checks with me before she cooks anything when we visit!

You are such a sweet and helpful person; I'm sorry you family isn't more educated about IBS. I have gotten some insensitive comments too, and sometimes you feel like others are blaming you for having your symptoms. I guess in their mind they are being helpful, but they just don't know. My period started too, and I am having a lot of trouble too. Those hormones sure cause a lot of trouble.
I hope things go well for your Thanksgiving, and everyone elses too. Holidays can be so stressful!
