Acacia fiber safe for Crohn's?

I tried doing a search for "acacia fiber and Crohn's" but didn't find anything that said whether or not it was safe for people w/Crohn's. My sister's roommate has Crohn's, and she uses a very expensive probiotic. I suggested she try the acacia, but she's concerned about it's safety for her condition. Can someone help me w/this?

Yep it's safe. It actually says on the Acacia product page that "Pure soluble fiber supplements are helpful not just for IBS, but also for inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) such as Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis, plus diverticulosis and diverticulitis. "
Note that this is a PREbiotic, that is, it may help the effectiveness of a probiotic. Your friend should continue taking her probiotic.
