I have used a lot of the recipes from the IBS list and noticed that you can use garlic in some of them. I ate some Garlic Bread yesterday and I am paying for it today. Does this bread differ from the garlic you can use in a recipe?

Thanks for reading this and hope you all have a great Sunday...

There are lots of possibilities:

Garlic bread is usually loaded with either oil or butter and fat is a huge IBS trigger.

You don't say that *you* do okay with garlic in other things, so it may be that garlic is something you simply don't tolerate right now.

Even if the garlic bread wasn't made with lots of fat and you do okay with garlic in other things if the garlic bread was made with lots and lots of garlic cloves that may just be too much garlic at one sitting.

And, of course, there's always the possiblity that what's bothering you isn't the garlic bread but something else you ate.
