Change from IBS A to C?

Is it possible for IBS to change? I was diagnosed as A, but here recently I've been only C. Is it possible I'm not getting enough IF & that's causing increased C? I usually eat whole wheat pasta or brown rice, but I haven't been eating a lot of veggies the past couple days. I tried my usual "applesauce remedy" but it hasn't worked this time.

I should clarify, I used to go 3-4 days w/no BM, then go 4-5 times in 1 day, but when I started watching my diet I started going 1-2 times a day, without too much pain. For the past several days I've had a lot of pain, very small BM, and only once each day. I feel like my stomach is a rock! I get nauseous every night right before bed (no I'm not pregnant) & I just plain feel awful all day long, like I used too. That may not qualify as C, but it sure isn't fun whatever you wanna call it.
